This is a safe technology that provides excellent results for the treatment of Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH). It can be adapted to the surgical technique that is most appropriate for the patient.
With a wavelength of 2013 nm, it is used for vaporisation (disintegration of excess prostatic tissue), and vapour resection (which, in addition to disintegrating the excess tissue, allows fragments to be extracted for later analysis).
This technique reduces the intervention time to between 30 and 45 minutes. Bleeding during the operation is minimal, so the catheterisation and hospitalisation time does not need to exceed 24–48 hours.
