Urodynamic testing involves a functional assessment of the lower urinary tract, bladder and urethra, and is performed during the two phases of urination: emptying and filling. The objective of this procedure is to provide an objective understanding of the functional status of the bladder and sphincters in relation to their storage capacity and the expulsion of urine. It enables us to specify the type of condition that the patient is suffering from, which guides decision making in terms of treatment options and, consequently, increases the possibility of resolving the issue.
